Tech Support

The IT Department can be reached by e-mailing techsupport@twinriversusd.org or via telephone at (916) 566-7802.
Our TRUSD IT department is available to help our families, and all families across the district, to resolve any technical issues that occur. While the IT team is doing their very best to help every family as quickly as they can, due to the transition to virtual learning, their department has seen an increase in traffic and parent contacts.

Many of the issues your student may face can be resolved by contacting their counselor or viewing some of the helpful content listed on our website. Below we listed a helpful tips to try and resolve your issues. You can check out some of our helpful videos, created by FHS Counselor Mr. Balderas under the Student section on the website.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Technical Support Scenarios

----------------

When I log into my Aeries Student Portal, I can't see all of my classes.

If you are missing any classes on your class schedule, email your counselor for assistance. Counselors are assigned alphabetically and can be found under the Counseling tab > counseling staff.

When I try to turn on my computer, it doesn't do anything.

Your chromebook may have died in this case. First plug your chromebook in by using ONLY the charger provided. After waiting 10 minutes, press the refresh key and power button at the same time. The refresh key looks like an arrow going around in a circle.

When I am on my zoom, the teacher says he can't see me.

First make sure you are not using the camera in any other applications on your Chromebook. Secondly, confirm your camera is on by pressing the camera on the lower left side of the screen. Thirdly, search the chromebook for your camera by pressing the menu button on the computer. If the camera does not come on, you may need a new Chromebook. Contact your school site to arrange a time to exchange.

The google classroom or zoom code isn't working. What do I do?

You can message your teacher directly in Aeries. This also informs the teacher you were trying to do the assignment or log into the zoom at the right time.

My WiFi hotspot isn't working.
